Jay Leno made a promise, and he’s staying true to it.
He stands firmly by his wife Mavis, who is living with advanced dementia. After 45 years of marriage, commitment comes naturally to Leno—but he knows it wouldn’t be easy for everyone in the same situation.
“You take a vow when you get married, and people are stunned, they’re shocked when you live up to it,” Leno told Maria Shriver on the latest episode of her Life Above the Noise podcast.
